Our in-school field trips bring the wonder of the zoo directly into your classroom with an interactive program designed to get students excited about animals and conservation.
Starting at $700
Program length: 1.5-2 hours
Your program includes
Interactive, educational animal presentation- Meet a variety of small animals, including reptiles and small mammals.
Animal Artifact Exploration- Get a closer look at animal artifacts while learning about the species they came from.
A Special Reading Experience-A live reading of your selected book written by our Head Keeper, Jordan White, read by the author herself!
Want to meet a specific animal?
Special animal requests may be available. Species availability and pricing may vary.
Traveling to You
Programs requiring more than one hour of travel time will incur an additional $100 per hour travel charge.
Want to extend your time?
If you want the fun to last a little longer, you can extend your program at half the total cost for each additional hour.
Groups of 100 or more require Director Approval. Please book groups of this size at least one month in advance.
Large groups may be divided into smaller groups and rotated through activities to prevent congestion. We recommend assigning students to groups before arriving at the zoo.
Because the zoo will likely be open to other guests and groups during your visit, we recommend giving your students something that makes them easy to identify (matching shirts, colored drawstring bags, ID lanyards). Please also make sure you bring adequate chaperones for your group.
Teachers arriving separately from buses should arrive 15-30 minutes before your students.
Once your group arrives, students will unloaded and divided into smaller groups if necessary.
Our staff will direct your group to your first activity and help you navigate your field trip.

We do not charge for parking.
Handicap parking is available in our top parking lot.
When buses arrive, please unload your group in front of the admissions counter located at the front of the main building. A staff member will direct the bus to a designated parking area.
Please notify us if any students will be transported individually by the parents/guardians.
Parents driving separately must follow the cones and park in the lower parking lot, to ensure the safety of the students as they unload from the bus.
Yes! Please unload your lunches on the front porch when you arrive. A member of our staff will transport them to the designated picnic area.
A valid tax-exempt form dated after June 1, 2023 must be submitted when booking your field trip.
If inclement weather is predicted and you would like to reschedule, you must notify us at least 24 hours before your scheduled arrival to receive a raincheck.
Once your group has entered the zoo, rainchecks will not be honored.
For reasons unrelated to weather, please notify us at least two weeks before your scheduled arrival date.
No-call/no-shows will be charged a $100 service fee.
Add-ons should be requested at least 48 hours before your visit so we can make sure we have everything prepared for your group.
