A guided tour of our facility allows your students to learn and ask questions about the animals in our
care from one of our zookeepers.

Your class chooses an animal to sponsor and receives a plushie of that animal to keep in your
classroom. Your class will have a Q&A session with one of our zookeepers to learn more about
your animal.

We do not charge for parking.
When buses arrive, please unload your group in front of the admissions counter located at the front of the main building. A staff member will direct the bus to a designated parking area.
Parents driving separately must follow the cones and park in the lower parking lot, to ensure the safety of the students as they unload from the bus.
Please notify us if any students will be transported individually by the parents/guardians.
Handicap parking is available in our top parking lot.

We will call to confirm the total number of guests, meal deals, and other trip details prior to your arrival.
Groups of 100 + guests require our Director's approval,, so please ensure you book your trip at least 2 weeks in advance.
Large groups may be split into smaller groups and rotated through activities to avoid congestion. We suggest assigning groups prior to your arrival.
Please keep in mind that you may be sharing the park with other groups and guests. Ensure that you bring adequate chaperones. We suggest giving your students something that makes them easily identifiable from other groups and guests, such as colored shirts, drawstring bags, or ID lanyards.
What should I expect upon arrival?
Teachers driving separately should arrive 15-30 minutes before the students to ensure a speedy check in. Upon check in, you will be advised on how to separate your group if necessary (larger groups should be split into smaller groups to avoid congestion.) Once the students are unloaded and separated accordingly, you will be directed /led to your first activity.
Can we bring our own lunches?
Yes, if you bring your own lunches, we ask that you unload lunches on the front porch. A member of our staff will take them to the designated picnic area.
How do I notify the zoo of my organizations tax exempt status?
Valid tax exempt forms (dated after June 1, 2023) must be submitted when booking your trip.
What if it rains on the day of my field trip?
Once your group enters the zoo, the rainchecks will not be honored. If inclement weather is predicted on the day of your trip, and you wish to reschedule, you must notify us at least 24 hours before you are scheduled to arrive to get a raincheck.
What if I need to cancel/reschedule my field trip for reasons unrelated to weather?
If you need to cancel/reschedule your trip, you must notify us at least two weeks before your scheduled arrival date. No call no shows will be billed a $100.00 service fee.
