We are open Monday - Saturday from 10AM-5PM and Sunday 12PM-5PM.

About Us.

Little Ponderosa Zoo is a non profit zoo and rescue facility for exotic animals founded by James Cox.   We have rescued animals from across the US, providing them with a forever home.  We are proud to be the Official Zoo of Anderson County.

In 2019, TWRA made us a certified wildlife rehabilitation facility.  We now rescue, rehabilitate and release most native Tennessee wildlife including raccoons, rabbits, possum, birds, owls and so much more.  

We are proud to offer East Tennessee schools a field trip destination that teaches our local students about animals and our environment.
