Volunteers are an integral part of The Little Ponderosa Zoo and Rescue. From helping guests have a great experience to helping with special events and everyday work around the zoo, volunteers help s do more for the animals and our community.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Volunteer opportunities vary depending on the current needs of the zoo and may include:

Assisting zookeepers with animal related duties

Helping with zoo projects and maintenance

Working stations at special events

Assisting with educational programs

Gardening & beautification projects

Helping in guest service areas

WHO CAN VOLUNTEER?

We welcome individuals who are dependable , willing to learn, and excited to support our mission.

Some volunteer opportunities may have additional age, physical, training, or scheduling requirements.

Working directly with animals is not guaranteed and is based on the zoo’s needs, training, and volunteer qualifications.
